Aldik Warehouse Manager Green With… Recycling!

Moorpark, CA – Rich Parkyn, Director of Operations for Aldik in Moorpark, California, is seeing his share of green… recycling that is.

As the leader of Aldik's Grow Green program, Parkyn oversaw the recycling of more than 225 tons of corrugated materials, white and colored office paper, metals, and wood, in the last year. Much of this would have ended up in area landfills if not for the aggressive recycling program.

Aldik's Grow Green program helps to protect and preserve the environment by slowing deforestation, saving landfill space, minimizing the pollutant effects of paper production, reducing water, air, and toxic pollutants, and saving energy.

Parkyn has big plans to further develop Aldik's Grow Green Program with its current recycling program provider, Rincon Recycling. "We have been working closely with Rincon to develop a more extensive recycling program in 2006," says Parkyn, "We would like to increase the amount we recycle and the amount of recycled materials we use."

Aldik's Grow Green Program is expected to grow to more than 250 tons this year.
